Apollo Munich organises Free Health Camp at Bokaro

img-20180812-wa0025Bokaro: Over hundreds of people including women and girls largely attended a medical camp organized by Apollo Munich at Maa Mandap, City Centre Sector 4 in Bokaro on Sunday.

At least 118 people were examined in the camp by Dr Rajesh Kumar Pathak and medical expert Karuna, informed Ashok Pandey ADM Apollo Munich Jharkhand. “The objective of the camp was to provide information regarding diet, exercise and weight control,” he added.

Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company Ltd is a joint venture between one of the largest integrated healthcare providers across Asia, Apollo Hospitals, and the health business division of Germany-based Munich Re, Munich Health, said Pandey adding “Our Company began operation in India in the year 2007 aiming to provide a wide range of insurance products, specially designed to meet the healthcare requirements of an individual”.

In the camp people were provided with an opportunity to get all essential medical check-up conducted on the honorary basis, by doctors and medical experts, said Srikant Singh.  “A higher percentage of men were diagnosed with diabetes (Fasting and Random) compared to women,” added Singh.

Meanwhile, a large proportion of the population was found to be either underweight or overweight. A higher percentage of women were underweight compared to men, he said.

Besides others, Branch Manager Pankaj Kumar, Pratyush Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Pancham Dutta, Sajal, Sahood Alam, Anil Giri, Arun Choudhary and officials were also actively participated in the camp.
