BSL’s CEO flags off Shravani Mela Convoy with a medical team

Bokaro: On the auspicious occasion of the month-long Shravani Mela in Deoghar, BSL’s CEO Pawan Kumar Singh along with the EDs and other senior officials flagged off a convoy of Vehicles carrying a medical team with free medicines.

The team comprising Medical Officers, Sanjivani Piramal Health team and volunteers to provide free Medical Treatment and free medicines to thousands of devotees who converge there to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva, informed M K Dhan Chief of communication BSL.

BSL has been following this practice for the last one and a half-decade. Every year a group of volunteers goes along with a team of doctors to serve the devotees. It is to be noted that on 26 July, 2010 a Dharmshala was constructed by BSL in Deoghar where free accommodation to devotees is provided.

There is the provision of Electricity and Water and an enclosure too has been provided within the Dharmshala for facilitating medical Treatment. The vans that left the Ispat Bhawan were carrying medicines and other first-aid equipments.

A team of doctors and a paramedic will be available along with volunteers to take care of the devotees. The team of doctors and dressers will stay there for ten days and thereafter, they would be replaced by another group, informed an official.

Beside others, Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) Mukul Prasad, Executive Director (Projects) R. Kushwaha, General Manager-in-Charge (Finance and Accounts) D. K. Saha, Director (Medical and Health Services) R N Pradhan, General Manager (Materials and Management) F R Azmi, General Manager (City Services) Vibhakar along with Senior Officers, Members of Corporate Social Responsibility Cell were present on this occasion.

The convoy left Bokaro amidst chanting of Bolbam.
