Cultural Week concludes on a Grand Note at DPS

Bokaro: The Cultural Week of DPS Bokaro culminated today with a magnificent showcase of talent of students in performing arts- ‘Tabla Competition’ and ‘Visual Art’ in Inter-House Competitions on Thursday.

The concluding day witnessed exciting and captivating performances by the enthusiastic students of Primary Wing on Tabla whereas in the senior wing, the day was marked by the aesthetic presentation of visual art by the students. The six houses presented an amazing display of art, craft and unique creations using household materials, informed M Sharma PRO of the school.

In the Tabla Competition, Chenab House, which presented ‘Ek Taal’ stood first while Raavi House, which presented ‘Teen Taal’ came second and Sutlej House presenting ‘Jhaptaal’ was declared third, he said.

The Inter-House Visual Art Competition included activities like Poster Making, Face Painting, Flower Arrangement, Salad Decoration, Calligraphy and Rangoli for the display of the artistic beauty created by the young students in their own innovative way which was a visual treat.

Appreciating the students, Principal DPS Bokaro A. S. Gangwar said such competitions introduced us to our Indian Culture and at the same time, skills of aesthetic, creativity and innovation can be developed among the children. He also congratulated the teachers who worked relentlessly for the success of this programme. He also highlighted the stage décor for the cultural week, which was done through best out of waste.
