Hemant Soren visits Budha Pahad, launches development project worth Rs 100 Cr

JNS: Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, on Friday launched the Budha Pahar Development Project (BPDP), which has a total cost of Rs 100 Crore. In the 22 years since the foundation of the state, this is the very first time that any Chief Minister has ever visited the location.

Budha Pahad has a lengthy history as a Maoist bastion; nevertheless, thanks to the persistent efforts of both state and central forces, the city was just recently declared liberated from Maoist rule in September of 2022. After the month of September, state government agencies and the district administration began conducting citizen outreach in these outlying panchayats. Their goal was to ensure that key state government welfare-schemes were delivered to the doorsteps of people who, otherwise, had no access to any kind of development programme. During the month of November in 2022, the signature Sarkar Aapke Dwar campaign was also carried out in Tehri Panchayat, where it reached a population of over 6000 peasants.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister dispersed resources to 429 beneficiaries with a total value of Rs 1 crore 25 lakh 81 thousand 303. These resources included a Mini Tractor, Pumpset, Burmi Bed, Seeds, Agricultural Equipment Kit, Food Grain Ration Kit, Community Investment Fund, Football Kit, and more. To those who benefited from the Chief Minister Employment Generation Program, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, Chief Minister Pashudhan Yojana, Sarvajan Pension Yojana, Mission Vatsalya, Green Ration Card, and other initiatives, acceptance letters were also sent out.

Soren mentioned that there was a time when this region was a witness to the fear that was caused by Maoists. The Maoists had maintained complete dominance over the region throughout the whole conflict. However, by presenting the Maoists with a difficult test, our security forces have eradicated Naxalite activity throughout the entire region. Today, all of us have gotten together in this place, and we are going to initiate a fresh phase of development. It’s possible that we’ve never experienced such a wonderful ambiance at this location before. In the days ahead, this location will also prove to be significant in terms of the growth that has taken place.

CM said, the younger generation has chosen the way of confusion for whatever reason. They need to get with the programme, that’s what I tell them. He stated that going against the grain of society is not the answer to any problem, and that the only way to live a better and safer life is to adhere to the mainstream.

Soren asserted that while it is possible to generate an atmosphere of terror and dread for a period of time with the use of firearms, doing so is neither in your interest nor in the interest of the society as a whole. Put down the weapon and sign up to work for the government. Today, the government is attempting to cover you with programmes by coming to your house and providing you with information. Participating in these initiatives represents a conscious decision to live a life marked by respect for others and for oneself.

“The government now has a more effective policy for the surrender of those who have strayed from the path of society,” added Soren.

He stated that on the one hand, the government not only allows them to benefit from the government’s plans for their development but also makes complete arrangements for the open jail in order for them to live with their families and for the education of their children. This is in addition to the fact that the government allows them to benefit from the government’s plans for their development.

He said, the administration has formulated strategies for the growth of each and every segment and class. The plans are being carried out in a manner that is in accordance with your goals and expectations. You make use of these several con tricks. Because of these programmes, you will attain such a high level of power and independence that you will no longer be dependent on the rations and subsidies provided by the government.

He stated that the way society operates is shifting at the present time. There is no way in which one gender is superior than the other. Men and women are equal in every way. In many aspects, there are more women than males who are intentionally working. She is able to provide for her family and make a profit by renting out tractors and passenger vehicles thanks to assistance she receives from the government. This helps her provide for her loved ones.

On this occasion, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka, DGP Neeraj Sinha, Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary Abubakar Siddiqui, ADG Campaign Sanjay Latkar, IG Campaign Amol Homkar, CRPF IG Jharkhand Amit Kumar, Commissioner Jata Shankar Chowdhary, IG Palamu Zone Rajkumar Lakra, Deputy Commissioner Garhwa Ramesh Gholap, Superintendent of Police Anjani Jha and head of Tehri Panchayat along with a large number of villagers were present .
