LIC Bokaro branch celebrates foundation day

Bokaro: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Branch- I at City Center, Sector 4 in Bokaro Steel City celebrated its 49 Foundation Day on Monday amid much fanfare.

Branch Manager, Sanjeev Kumar dwelt on the achievements of the branch on the occasion.

Kumar said the LIC, which symbolizes the faith and trust of millions of countrymen, was synonymous with life insurance as it is the market leader of the Indian insurance market in terms of number of policies. “LIC is the largest insurance company in the world in terms of number of customers,” he added.

During the financial year 2018-19 our branch has achieved a benchmark; in the current financial year, we have on top position in Hazaribagh Division in terms of policies of Single premiums by collection Rs 6 crore 90 lakhs, said Sanjeev.

On this occasion a new Term Insurance Policy – Jeevan Amar is launched. Kumar also detailed about LIC’s SIP Endowment Plus plan which having lowest premium of Rs 3000 per month and providing ten times risk coverage of its annualized premium.

Speaking on the occasion Kumar informed that form 14 August onwards LIC is discontinuing its three products includes Jeevan Akashay, Nav Jeevan and Jeevan Shanti.

Now we are providing opportunities to the rural youths, they can join us as Rural Carrier Agents and we will provide them Rs 5000 as stipend in addition of commission on their business, he said.

Kumar said, LIC has also extended its services at several offshore destinations, including UK, Fiji, Mauritius, Bahrain, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Singapore, he said, adding LIC posted a robust performance in terms of corporate governance benchmark.

Beside others, Manoranjan Kumar, P K Mohanti, Sanjay Mishra, Subir Ansari, Rakesh Kumar, Ravi Ranjan were present on the occasion.
