Online registration for UGC-NET 2018 starts on 6 March

ugc-net-1Online registrations for the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2018 for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Assistant Professor will begin from March 6 and will continue until 5 April.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting UGC NET 2018 exam on 8 July this year. The board has announced the revision of exam pattern and eligibility criteria, said G Jha Assistant Professor of VBU.

The exam will be conducted only for two papers instead of three papers. The first paper will be of 100 marks for one hour and will contain 50 objective type compulsory questions, he said adding “Each question will carry two marks and will be of general nature and will test the teaching as well as research aptitude of the candidate”.

While the second paper also will be of 100 marks for two hours and will contain 100 objective type compulsory questions. Each question will carry two marks and will be based on the subject opted by the candidate, informed Jha.

“The upper age limit for appearing for JRF was earlier 28 years, but now, it has been raised to 30 years,” he added.
