Pakistan Parliament is all set to elect new Prime Minister

JNS: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif, and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday filed their nomination papers for the post. Their nominations have been approved for the Prime Minister’s election.

Imran Khan was removed from the post of Prime Minister after he lost a no-confidence motion in the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Khan is the first Prime Minister of Pakistan who was removed through a no-confidence motion.

Khan the president of PTI, alleged that foreign conspiracies were hatched several times to topple his government. During the voting on the no-confidence motion in the Parliament of Pakistan, one hundred 74 votes were cast in support of the opposition, which is two more than the majority.

Meanwhile, all the members of PTI Party have decided to resign from the National Assembly. In a tweet, senior party leader Fawad Chaudhry said that the party has decided to resign from the assembly of all the provinces, starting with the National Assembly after the election of the Prime Minister on today.
