According to preliminary data from seismic monitoring agencies, the epicentre was located near Shirli village in Vasmat taluka of Hingoli district. The quake was classified as moderate and shallow, which explains why tremors were felt across a wider radius despite its relatively low magnitude.
District administrations across the affected regions confirmed that no casualties or property damage have been reported so far. Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm, avoid spreading rumours, and follow official advisories.
Emergency response teams remain on alert as a precaution, though officials indicated there is no immediate threat of aftershocks.
