Jamshedpur: The fairways of the historic Golmuri Golf Course are all set to come alive as the 48th Jubilee Golf Tournament gets underway on February 21 and 22, drawing golfers from across the country for a high-profile two-day sporting spectacle.

Around 250 golfers from cities including Pune, Paradip, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur and Ranchi are expected to compete, making this one of the largest and most eagerly awaited golfing events in the region.

The tournament is being hosted under the joint banner of Golmuri Club and Jamshedpur Golf, with support from Tata Steel and its associate bodies. Players will vie for honours across multiple categories, celebrating not just competition but the enduring golfing legacy that Golmuri represents.

Several senior leaders from Tata Steel and the host clubs will be present to mark the occasion. Among the key dignitaries are D. B. Sundar Ramam, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel and Captain, Jamshedpur Golf; Ujjal Chakraborti, Executive-in-Charge, Tinplate Division, Tata Steel and Chairman, Golmuri Club; Rajesh Roshan, Secretary, Golmuri Club; Neeraj Sinha, Chief (Safety), Tata Steel and Secretary, Jamshedpur Golf; Alan Singh, CEO, Jamshedpur Golf; Abhijit Nanoti, Managing Director, JCAPCPL; and Varun Bajaj, Chief (Corporate Services), Tata Steel.

Organisers said the Jubilee Tournament is designed to strengthen sporting bonds among golfing communities while promoting the spirit of fair play and excellence. They expressed confidence that this year’s edition will live up to Golmuri’s rich traditions and offer a memorable experience for both players and spectators.
