Sriharikota: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is poised to mark a major milestone with the launch of its 101st space mission. Preparations are in full swing at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, where the countdown for the PSLV-C61 launch officially began this morning.
The PSLV-C61 rocket is scheduled to lift off at 5:59 AM tomorrow, carrying the Earth Observation Satellite EOS-09 into a Sun Synchronous Polar Orbit. Designed for high-precision remote sensing, the EOS-09 will provide continuous and reliable data for a wide range of operational applications across multiple sectors.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), the satellite is capable of capturing high-resolution images in all weather conditions, both day and night. The mission underscores ISRO’s commitment to sustainable space exploration, as it is designed to be entirely debris-free.
This launch represents another significant stride for India’s space ambitions and highlights ISRO’s ongoing efforts to advance earth observation capabilities for developmental and scientific purposes.
