Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro will host the district-level selection trials for the Jharkhand State Swimming Championship 2025 on June 29, starting from 7:00 a.m. The announcement was made by Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal of DPS Bokaro and President of the Bokaro District Swimming Association.
The trials are being organized by the Bokaro District Swimming Association and are open to swimmers from across the district, including school students, club athletes, rural participants, and independent entrants.
Dr. Gangwar informed that cadets will be selected across seven categories, including: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly stroke, Individual medley, 4×50 meter freestyle relay and 4×50 meter medley relay. “Participants must report with valid ID proof, address proof, and proper swimming attire,” he added.
The selected swimmers will represent Bokaro in the 15th Sub-Junior and Junior Jharkhand State Swimming Championship 2025, scheduled to be held at the JRD Sports Complex Swimming Pool in Jamshedpur on July 12–13, 2025.
Speaking about the event, Dr. Gangwar highlighted the significance of the trials, calling them a golden platform for young swimmers to display their skills and earn a place in the prestigious state-level meet. He also noted that Bokaro swimmers delivered an impressive performance at the 14th Jharkhand State Swimming Championship in 2024, securing multiple medals for the district.
“We’re hopeful that our swimmers will rise to the occasion once again and bring greater glory to Bokaro,” he added.
