Ranchi: All post offices in Ranchi division will undergo a major digital transformation with the rollout of Advanced Postal Technology (APT) software on July 21, 2025 (Monday).
Due to the system upgrade, postal services will remain suspended for one day across the division.
The new APT platform, part of India Post’s IT 2.0 initiative, aims to make postal operations faster, smarter, and more user-friendly. Full services will resume under the new system on July 22 (Tuesday).
According to officials, APT will benefit the public with faster delivery, better parcel tracking, digital booking, improved financial services, and reduced wait times. For postal staff, the system promises an automated interface, real-time monitoring, easier data management, and quicker complaint resolution.
India Post has sought public cooperation during the transition and assured that the upgrade will significantly enhance service quality going forward.
