Patna Hospital Murder Case: Key Accused Nabbed in West Bengal, Bihar Police Initiates Custody Process

Kolkata/Patna : In a major breakthrough, Bihar Police have arrested more than five accused involved in the sensational daylight killing of gangster Chandan Mishra inside a Patna hospital. The arrests were made in West Bengal, where the assailants had reportedly gone into hiding after the incident.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a special team from Bihar flew to West Bengal and carried out the arrests. The accused are currently being interrogated, and legal formalities are underway to bring them back to Patna for further investigation, as per reports from CNN News18.

The shocking murder took place earlier this week at Paras Hospital in Patna, where five armed men barged into a patient’s cabin and gunned down Chandan Mishra, a notorious criminal out on parole for medical treatment. The sixth suspect had reportedly stayed outside during the attack.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the killers calmly entering and exiting the cabin one after another after executing the murder. Mishra, an accused in over a dozen murder cases, succumbed to bullet injuries inside the hospital.

The daring nature of the attack has raised serious concerns about law and order in the state capital, with police under pressure to ensure swift justice.
