ESL Steel CSR Drive: Digital Café Brings Online Learning to Village Students

Bokaro: In a bid to bridge the digital divide in rural education, ESL Steel Ltd. inaugurated a Digital Café at Madunia under its CSR initiative, Vedanta AAS Vidyalaya (VAASV), on Thursday. The facility will cater to students from Classes 6 to 10 across JAC and CBSE boards, offering access to digital learning resources and online education.

The inauguration ceremony drew enthusiastic participation from community leaders and educators, including Mukhiya Pradip Turi, Deputy Director (Iron & Power) Anup Nagi, CSR Head Kunal Daripa, Principal Suresh Jha, social worker Sanjay Kumar, and school committee members Smt. Rukmani Devi and Rambabu Ansari. Teachers, villagers, and students also joined the celebration.

On the ocassion speakers lauded Vedanta ESL’s commitment to empowering rural children. Mukhiya Pradip Turi hailed the café as a “milestone for the community,” while Anup Nagi urged students to embrace regular learning with corporate backing. Social worker Sanjay Kumar emphasized responsible use of digital tools, and Kunal Daripa reaffirmed the company’s vision to nurture “future-ready learners.”

Through project VAASV, Vedanta ESL aims to bridge learning gaps for rural school students, dropouts, and NIOS learners with technology-driven solutions and holistic development programs. By combining modern pedagogy with community participation, the initiative promises to bring quality education closer to underserved children, ensuring brighter futures.
