Ranchi: In a historic milestone, Dr. Chandan Kumar, CEO of The Vinayaka Hospital and Research Center, has been appointed Chairman of the Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA), an influential body representing 56 countries across the Commonwealth.
Speaking at a press conference, Dr. Kumar said his appointment was a matter of national pride, as it marked the first time in Indian history that an Indian has been chosen to head the CMA.
He revealed plans to open a Commonwealth Medical Association office in Ranchi and to bring advanced global medical technologies to India. “We have already signed MoUs with three leading international institutions. Our aim is to encourage foreign companies to establish production units in India, creating jobs and ensuring the country benefits from world-class innovations,” Dr. Kumar said.
He stressed that his mission would be to ensure India receives the maximum benefits of modern healthcare technologies and strengthens its role in the global medical community.
