Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council has declared the Class 10 (Matric) Results 2026, recording a strong 95.27% pass rate, up by 3.56% from last year—signalling a major academic boost across the state.

Out of 4.24 lakh registered students, 4.22 lakh appeared, and over 4.02 lakh passed. Among them, 2.26 lakh secured First Division, 1.60 lakh Second Division, and over 14,000 Third Division.

Priyanshu Kumari Tops; Hazaribagh Shines

Leading the state is Priyanshu Kumari of Indira Gandhi Balika Uchcha Vidyalaya, Hazaribagh, who scored 498/500 (99.60%). Her achievement has sparked celebrations across her family, school, and district, with Hazaribagh emerging as a standout performer this year.

In a remarkable feat, five students from the same school secured positions within the top 3 ranks, underlining the institution’s academic excellence and consistency.

Four-Way Tie at the Top

Priyanshu shares the top spot with three other high achievers:

  • Shivangi Kumari (Simdega)
  • Prem Kumar Sahu (Ranchi)
  • Sunny Kumar Verma (Ranchi)

All four scored 99.60%, reflecting an exceptionally competitive merit list.

Several students secured the second position with 496 marks (99.20%), while many others followed closely with 494 marks (98.80%), indicating a sharp rise in academic performance statewide.

The results highlight not just individual brilliance but also a broader improvement in Jharkhand’s education ecosystem, with districts like Hazaribagh setting new benchmarks.
