Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan Interacts with Sri Lankan Youth Delegation at Raj Bhavan

Patna: Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan welcomed a 25-member delegation of young political leaders from Sri Lanka at Raj Bhavan on Monday. The delegation is visiting India under the Bharat Darshan programme, organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

During the interaction, the Governor highlighted the deep-rooted cultural and spiritual ties between India and Sri Lanka. He noted that Saint Narayan Guru of Kerala has a significant following in Sri Lanka, underlining the shared spiritual legacy.

Responding to queries, Governor Khan described India’s Constitution as the world’s largest and emphasized its inclusive spirit. He said India’s civilizational values, based on soul and unity in diversity, continue to guide its progress. Citing the G20 Summit’s theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, he reiterated India’s belief in global harmony.

He also stressed India’s collaborative efforts with Sri Lanka in sectors like education, health, and women empowerment. Referring specifically to Bihar, the Governor highlighted the growing tourism potential driven by improved infrastructure and its rich cultural heritage. He said Bihar has been the land of origin and action (karmabhoomi) for many great personalities in history.
