BIT Mesra Hosts National Workshop on Dynamic Systems and Control – LDC-FMAID 2025

Experts from IITs, NITs, and leading institutions converge for five-day technical conclave

Ranchi:  Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra has kicked off a five-day national workshop titled “Learning Dynamic Systems and Control: Foundations, Methods, Algorithms and Implementation (LDC-FMAID 2025)”, organized by its Centre for Quantitative Economics and Data Science (CQEDS).

The workshop, which began on July 21 and will run through July 25, brings together experts, researchers, and academicians from across the country.

The inaugural session began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and BIT prayer, followed by a welcome address from the convener and Head of CQEDS, Prof. Vandana Bhattacharya, and keynote by Chief Guest Prof. Sandeep Kumar Solanki.

A special message from Vice Chancellor Prof. Indranil Manna was also shared, emphasizing the institute’s focus on interdisciplinary research that blends theory with real-world application to develop transparent and reliable technologies.

The LDC-FMAID 2025 workshop is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the fields of dynamic systems, control, and data-driven optimization. The sessions aim to introduce new methods of decision-making across domains like physics, economics, and computational sciences.

Program Coordinator Dr. Laxman Mahato, along with Co-Coordinators Dr. Sunny Bhushan and Dr. Subhrat Kumar Swain, outlined the agenda of the event.

The workshop features talks and sessions led by domain experts from institutions such as IIT Kanpur, IIT Patna, IIT Madras, BHU Varanasi, IIIT Dharwad, NIT Bhopal, and BIT Mesra itself.

Participants from various academic and professional backgrounds have registered for the workshop, reflecting growing interest in topics like statistical learning, dynamic control systems, and data-driven strategies in complex environments.

BIT Mesra continues to lead initiatives that push the frontiers of research and knowledge-sharing, further solidifying its position as a hub of innovation and academic excellence.
