Bokaro: In a major push to boost youth employability, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has announced internship opportunities for 160 young candidates under the third phase of the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme (PMIS).
The initiative aims to bridge the skill gap by offering hands-on industrial exposure across a wide range of technical and non-technical domains. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of around ₹9,000, jointly funded by the Government of India and BSL.
Wide Range of Trades Covered
The internships span multiple high-demand sectors including Electrical, Mechanical, Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Civil, Instrumentation, PLC Lab, Power Distribution, Metallurgy, Hydraulics, and Ceramic Engineering. Opportunities are also available in non-technical areas such as Logistics, HR, Computer Operations, and Programming Assistance.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with ITI certifications, Diplomas, Graduate degrees (B.Sc, BCA, BA), or those who have passed Class 12 are eligible. The internship duration is set for nine months, offering structured training aligned with real-world industrial operations.
Application Timeline
The application window opened on April 1, 2026, and will remain active until April 25, 2026.
BSL management has encouraged eligible youth to seize this opportunity, highlighting that the program not only enhances practical skills but also significantly improves job readiness in a competitive market.
