Bokaro: In a vibrant display of patriotism, Chhau Kendra Chandankiyari organized a Tiranga Yatra on Tuesday to mark the success of Operation Sindoor, as part of a nationwide series of celebrations. The event saw enthusiastic participation from residents, with the entire town resounding with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The rally concluded with a series of patriotic songs, leaving a strong sense of unity and national pride.
The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, coordinator of Chhau Kendra, Chandankiyari, which operates under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi. Key contributors to the program’s success included Dilip Jena, Ashutosh Kumar, and Vijay Kumar.
Dr. Chaudhary highlighted the background of Operation Sindoor, stating that on April 22, a tragic incident in the Besaran Valley of Pahalgam, around 90 kilometers from Srinagar, shocked the nation. Unarmed civilians were brutally killed by the Pakistani army and government-backed terrorists. The gruesome act sparked outrage across the country and drew strong condemnation from political parties, civil society, and international observers.
In response, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and the chiefs of the Indian armed forces, India launched a precise and strategic counter-operation targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan. Coordinated by Colonel Sofia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, the mission was executed with precision, causing significant damage to terror infrastructure while sparing Pakistani civilians and soldiers. Pakistan, facing heavy losses, reportedly appealed for a ceasefire within two days.
To commemorate this decisive operation and India’s resilience, patriotic programs and Tiranga Yatras are being held nationwide. Chhau Kendra’s celebration in Chandankiyari was a reflection of the country’s collective pride and tribute to the bravery of the Indian forces.
