Gua: DAV Chiria’s young archers have delivered a stellar performance on the national stage, propelling the Jharkhand L Zone to the top at the DAV National Sports Under-17 Archery Championship.

Three students from DAV Chiria emerged as standout performers in the Indian Round archery events held in New Delhi–Noida, clinching multiple medals across categories.

Prarthi Nag put up a remarkable show, winning a silver medal in the Under-17 50-metre event and striking gold in the 30-metre category. Divyanshi Samad mirrored the excellence with a gold medal at 50 metres and a silver at 30 metres. Completing the medal tally, Jenny Lohar secured bronze medals in both the 50-metre and 30-metre events.

With their consistent and high-scoring performances, the trio topped the Indian Round competition, helping DAV Chiria bag the overall team winner and group champion titles in the National Games Under-17. The school was formally honoured with medals by the DAV institution in New Delhi.

School Principal Dr. Shivnarayan Singh credited the historic achievement to the guidance and support of DAV Jharkhand L Zone Regional Officer Rekha Kumari and National Director Dr. Veer Singh. He said the students’ success has firmly established DAV Chiria’s identity at the national level.

Congratulating teachers, parents and students, Dr. Singh noted that the archers had shown exceptional promise from the very beginning. “Along with academic excellence, DAV Chiria has consistently focused on nurturing sporting talent. This national success is proof of that commitment,” he said.

The medal-winning performance was achieved under the dedicated guidance of history teacher Moumita Majumdar, sports teacher Sumit Senapati, and the collective efforts of the school’s teaching staff.

With this triumph, DAV Chiria has not only brought laurels to Jharkhand L Zone but also set a new benchmark in school-level archery at the national level.
