Delhi Police on High Alert After Multiple Schools Get Bomb Threats Over Email

New Delhi: A wave of panic swept through the national capital on Monday as several prominent schools received bomb threats via email, prompting mass evacuations and intensive security sweeps.

Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Sector 10, Dwarka, were among the institutions that reported receiving the threatening messages.

Authorities acted swiftly—deploying bomb disposal squads, Delhi Police teams, and fire service personnel to the affected campuses. Dog squads were also pressed into service to scan classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds.

This incident comes less than a month after a similar scare on July 18, when more than 50 schools, including Abhinav Public School (Rohini Sector-3) and Richmond Global School (Paschim Vihar), had received identical email threats.

In all instances, the threats proved to be hoaxes, with no explosives or suspicious materials recovered. However, officials say investigations are underway to trace the source of the recurring emails.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police urged parents and citizens to remain calm, assuring that stringent security protocols are being followed to ensure the safety of schoolchildren.
