Bokaro: A two-day adventure camp at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro recently saw nearly 300 students from classes four to eight participating in a range of exciting activities designed to promote holistic development. Held as part of the school’s experience-based education initiative, the camp was filled with thrilling competitions and challenges that showcased the students’ courage, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
The students participated in various adventure activities, including rope walking, mountain climbing with ropes, tug of war, archery, and walking on nets. In addition, they tackled more daring challenges such as ice breaking, zipline, commando net, rappelling, tree climbing, and the fidget ladder. The excitement was palpable as the students demonstrated their skills and bravery in these physically demanding tasks.
The camp also featured entertaining games like criss-cross, jumping swing, Lord of Rings, Hoopla race, ball in the bucket, and ostrich egg races, adding a fun element to the adventure-filled day. The students also participated in archery, where many showcased impressive shooting skills.
The camp was officially inaugurated by the school’s principal, Dr. A.S. Gangwar, who marked the occasion by cutting the ribbon and taking the first shot with an arrow. Speaking on the significance of such events, Dr. Gangwar emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in the all-round development of children. He noted that organizing adventure camps like this one plays a vital role in encouraging students to face challenges with courage and determination. “By participating in these challenging activities, students learn to navigate adversity and develop the resilience needed to achieve their goals,” he said.
Dr. Gangwar assured that DPS Bokaro would continue to organize such enriching experiences in the future, further promoting the growth and bravery of its students.
