Bokaro: Turning the spotlight on grassroots success stories, ESL Steel Limited hosted a high-energy CSR Felicitation Ceremony at the ESL Archery Ground, honouring community achievers whose journeys in farming, entrepreneurship, education, nutrition and sports are driving real change on the ground.

Organised by ESL Steel’s CSR team, the programme showcased grassroots success stories and recognised achievers in the presence of ManCom members, senior leadership and community representatives.

Farmers Shine Under Project WADI
Progressive farmers were felicitated for advancing sustainable agriculture and community mobilisation. Rajendra Kumar was recognised for adopting intercropping practices, while Shankar Manjhi, Manju Devi and Kalpana Devi were honoured for promoting scientific farming and improving farm productivity.

Women Entrepreneurs Lead Under Project JIVIKA
In the livelihood segment, Sarifan Bibi and Savitri Devi were honoured for their success in agarbatti and mushroom production. Savitri Devi drew special praise for establishing her own mushroom enterprise and achieving financial independence, emerging as a strong symbol of rural women entrepreneurship.

Youth Achievement in Education
Chandni Parveen of Chandaha was felicitated for her selection as a Constable in the Border Security Force, marking a proud milestone for the local community and highlighting the role of education in social mobility.

Archery Star Brings Glory
Adding to the celebrations, Doli Kumari, silver medallist at the National School Games in archery held in Ranchi, was honoured by Ravish Sharma, Deputy CEO and Whole Time Director of ESL Steel, for bringing laurels to Jharkhand.

Grassroots Women Leaders Recognised
The ceremony also acknowledged the dedicated work of Sevikas and women community leaders for strengthening early childhood care, improving nutrition awareness and mobilising villages toward healthier futures.
