Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, in partnership with the EMP Bindi International Association, rolled out a high-impact inception workshop under Project Jivika at Bijulia, bringing government officials, bankers and budding women entrepreneurs onto one platform.

Designed to accelerate women-led businesses, the workshop unlocked key insights into MSME schemes, credit linkages and government support mechanisms. Top officials — NABARD’s Philmun Bilung, DIC Director Vivek Prakash, Coordinator Kishor Rajak, and BOI Lead District Manager Abid Hussain — joined ESL’s CSR team and Jivika participants for the interactive session.

Experts from NABARD, DIC and Bank of India broke down the essentials of MSME registration, financial access and enterprise support. ESL’s CSR team showcased Jivika’s work in skill-building, market linkages and financial inclusion.

A standout moment: 50 women entrepreneurs were successfully registered on Udyam, opening doors to formal finance and business growth. The women also put up an impressive product display — from handwash and dishwash liquids to bamboo crafts, textiles and phenyl — earning praise from all stakeholders.

Officials lauded ESL Steel Limited for driving women’s economic empowerment and strengthening local livelihoods.

ESL’s CSR Head Kunal Daripa said, “Project Jivika is shaping a new generation of confident, self-reliant women entrepreneurs. This milestone in Udyam registration brings them firmly into the financial mainstream.”

The workshop has set the stage for expanding Jivika’s mission of empowering women through skills, enterprise development and financial independence.
