New Delhi: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to roll out Project SAKSHAM, a flagship skill development initiative aimed at uplifting over 2,265 youth, women, and small farmers in Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Begusarai (Bihar), and Dhanbad (Jharkhand).
The program will focus on high-growth sectors such as BFSI, Retail, Agriculture, IT-ITeS, and computer literacy, fostering employment-ready skills and entrepreneurial capabilities.
HURL MD Dr. S.P. Mohanty said, “This is how we strengthen communities and contribute meaningfully to the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
Project SAKSHAM is part of a broader push to build resilient, self-reliant rural economies through targeted skilling and livelihood support.
