Indian Railways Reduces Advance Ticket Booking Period to 60 Days Starting 1 Nov.

New Delhi: In a significant policy shift, Indian Railways has announced a reduction in the advance ticket booking period from 120 days to 60 days. This new guideline will take effect on 01 November. Passengers can continue to book tickets up to 120 days in advance until October 31.

The Railways confirmed that cancellations for bookings made beyond the revised 60-day advance reservation period will still be allowed.

However, certain daytime express trains, such as the Taj Express and Gomti Express, will maintain their existing shorter advance reservation periods.

Additionally, the advance booking period for foreign tourists will remain unchanged at 365 days, ensuring that international travelers continue to have ample planning time for their journeys.
