News Desk: India is fast emerging as a global electronics manufacturing hub, with electronics exports soaring by an impressive 47% to $12.41 billion in the first quarter (April–June) of the current financial year, according to the Commerce Ministry.
According to the reports, United States, UAE, and China ranked as the top three destinations for India’s booming electronics exports.
The Netherlands and Germany also featured prominently, reflecting India’s deeper integration into the global electronics supply chain.
The U.S. alone accounted for 60.17% of India’s electronics exports, underscoring the strong bilateral trade ties. It was followed by the UAE (8.09%) and China (3.88%), as Indian electronics increasingly make their mark across global markets.
In addition to electronics, India’s ready-made garment sector also saw significant growth. Exports in this segment rose to $4.19 billion, up from $3.85 billion in the same period last year. The United States again led the way, receiving 34.11% of India’s apparel exports, followed by the UK (8.81%), UAE (7.85%), Germany (5.51%), and Spain (5.29%).
The surge in both electronics and garment exports highlights India’s rising stature as a trusted global supplier, driven by a skilled workforce, expanding infrastructure, and strong compliance with international quality standards.
