New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police have dismantled a transnational arms-smuggling network with suspected links to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), arresting four men and recovering a cache of sophisticated foreign-made weapons.
In a coordinated crackdown led by DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Crime Branch teams seized 10 semi-automatic pistols — including five Turkey-made PX-5.7 models used by special forces and three China-made PX-3 pistols — along with 92 live cartridges. Officials described the operation as one of the most significant actions against cross-border gun smuggling in recent months.

Drone Route From Pakistan to Punjab
Investigators revealed that the network allegedly used drones to ferry weapons from Pakistan into Indian territory. The consignments were reportedly dropped in Punjab before being transported to Delhi for supply to criminal syndicates.
Calling the method “sophisticated and alarming,” DCP Yadav said the racket had created a streamlined supply chain spanning multiple states.

Four Key Suspects Nabbed
The arrested suspects have been identified as Ajay, Mandeep, Dalvinder and Rohan.
-
Mandeep, who was in touch with a handler in Pakistan, was the first to be caught on November 19 in Delhi’s Rohini area after intelligence inputs about an incoming arms delivery.
-
His interrogation led police to Rohan and Ajay, from whom two additional pistols were recovered.
-
Rohan is reportedly linked to the Jitender Gogi gang, while the network has earlier supplied weapons to the Bambiha gang and other active crime groups.
US-Based Operative Believed to Be Pulling the Strings
According to investigators, US-based operative Jamseet Jassa is suspected to be a key coordinator of the syndicate, directing cross-border logistics and distribution channels.
Joint CP Surender Kumar said the arrests mark a crucial step in unravelling the wider network that has been funneling high-grade foreign firearms into India.
Police say more arrests are likely as the probe widens into the gang’s international links and drone-based smuggling routes.
