Jahnavi Dangeti to Make History as First Indian Astronaut on Titans Space Mission in 2029

Washington/New Delhi: India’s Jahnavi Dangeti is poised to script history by becoming the first Indian astronaut to participate in the upcoming Titans Space Mission, scheduled for launch in 2029. The mission, spearheaded by the US-based private space firm Titans Space, will be a landmark step in commercial spaceflight and international astronaut representation.

Jahnavi, an alumna of NASA’s International Air and Space Program, has undergone extensive global training in advanced aerospace programs. She is also a vocal advocate for STEM education, inspiring youth worldwide through her journey.

The 2029 mission will span approximately five hours, during which the crew will orbit Earth twice—witnessing two sunrises and two sunsets. Nearly three hours of the flight will be spent in zero gravity, offering an unparalleled platform for scientific experiments and advancements in human spaceflight technology.

Commanding the mission will be Colonel (Retd.) William McArthur Jr., a seasoned NASA astronaut and currently the Chief Astronaut at Titans Space. His leadership is expected to add immense value to the mission’s safety and scientific outcomes.

This mission not only elevates India’s presence in the global space community but also marks a new chapter in private space exploration.
