Ranchi: In a significant development, the Jharkhand Pradesh Sanyukt Shikshak Morcha has announced the resolution of the salary hike issue for teachers in Ranchi district following a meeting with Kapil Dev Pandit, Deputy Secretary of the Finance Department.
The delegation held detailed discussions on a recent letter sent by the District Education Superintendent, Ranchi, regarding the salary hike for July. Clarifying the matter, the Deputy Secretary stated that as per the existing Service Code, teachers are not required to pass the Hindi noting examination for salary increment.
He further directed that this clarification applies not only to Ranchi but also to Hazaribagh, Bokaro, and Khunti districts, ensuring continuity of the salary hike process for government-aided school teachers. He emphasized that the Hindi note rule is applicable only to teachers of government district schools, not to those in aided institutions.
The delegation included State Convenor Vijay Bahadur Singh, Amin Ahmed, Ajay Kumar, Arun Kumar, Pankaj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, and Sumesh Kumar Mishra among other members of the Teachers Front.
