Dhanbad: The Nurturing Future Leadership Program, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP), successfully concluded today at the MMTT Centre, IIT ISM Dhanbad. The valedictory session, held at the i2h building of the institute, marked the culmination of a transformative journey for participants from various renowned institutions across the country.
The program aimed at fostering leadership skills and personal development among participants from institutions such as BHU Varanasi, EFLU Hyderabad, Central University of Kashmir, Central Sanskrit University, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Jodhpur, Kazi Nazrul University, Sidho-Kanho-Birsa University, and Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, among others.
Focused on the critical aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP), the initiative highlighted leadership development and the enhancement of the capacity of faculty and higher education institutions (HEIs) for creative transformation. The Ministry of Education’s support through the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme was key to the success of this initiative.
The program featured a keynote address by Dr. Pankaj K.P. Shreyaskar, Deputy Director General of MoSPI, Government of India, whose thought-provoking insights resonated with the participants. Prof. Sagar Pal, Dean (R&D) at IIT ISM Dhanbad, served as the Guest of Honour and emphasized the importance of leadership in academia, encouraging participants to embrace their roles as change-makers.
Professor Mrinalini Pandey, Programme Director of the MMTT Centre, expressed her gratitude to all contributors and resource persons who supported the program. She also acknowledged the meticulous efforts of the organizing committee, whose hard work ensured the program’s smooth execution and enriching experience for all attendees.
Professor Pandey further noted that the participants’ active engagement throughout the program demonstrated their commitment to leadership development. As the program concluded, she encouraged them to apply the lessons learned and the relationships built, inspiring innovation and leadership in their respective fields.
