Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a bomb threat in Russian on Friday, marking the second such incident in less than a month. The threat was received via the central bank’s official website, prompting immediate action by the authorities.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case against an unidentified individual in connection with the threat. Investigations are currently underway to trace the origin of the message.
The email, written in Russian, contained a threat to blow up the bank. The police and other relevant agencies are taking the matter seriously and are working to ensure safety and security.
This incident comes on the same day that several schools in Delhi also received bomb threats via email. Multiple agencies conducted thorough searches of the affected schools, but no suspicious items were found.
Authorities are continuing their investigations into both the RBI and Delhi school threats.
