Bokaro: The renowned literary organisation Sahitya Lok held its monthly composition seminar on Sunday evening at Sector 4F, drawing an impressive gathering of writers and poets. The session was presided over by noted Patna-based poet Sushil Thakur ‘Sahil’, whose presence added sparkle to the event.
The seminar, hosted at the residence of Sahitya Lok convenor Aman Kumar Jha, saw participation from prominent litterateurs including Buddhinath Jha, Vijay Shankar Mallik ‘Sudhapati’, Shailja Jha, Manali Mishra, Aman Kumar Jha, Arun Pathak, Dr. Ranjit Kumar Jha, Vishwanath Jha, Dharamveer Singh, and Shambhu Jha.
A highlight of the evening was the felicitation of senior litterateur Buddhinath Jha, author of the acclaimed Maithili epic Om Mahabharata. He was presented with a congratulatory citation in recognition of his recent honour — the Yatri Chetna Award, bestowed by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan at a function in Patna. Participants expressed joy over his achievement and extended warm congratulations.
Chief Guest Sushil ‘Sahil’ enthralled listeners with his poem and ghazals, including Mere Bachche Sanwarenge Mera Sone Jaisa Bharat, Pani Bharane Wale Ki Main Kaise Gaun Geet, and Wo Nazar Jisse Nasha Hota Raha.
In his presidential remarks, Sahil expressed delight at being part of a gathering filled with “extraordinary literary talent,” praising Sahitya Lok for its consistent and commendable contribution to the promotion of literature.
