Bokaro: In a decisive push to accelerate its expansion plans, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) – a unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) hosted a high-level ‘Bidders Meet Connect Pro’, bringing together 17 leading domestic and global engineering firms for intensive project consultations.
The one-day meet, inaugurated by Director-in-Charge Priya Ranjan, saw participation from top executives, project heads, and industry leaders. Executive Director (Projects) Anish Sengupta outlined the roadmap, setting the tone for focused deliberations.
Mega Projects in Focus
Key discussions revolved around major upcoming works, including brownfield expansion, the stamp charged coke oven battery, and expansion of the Gua Iron Ore Mines. Representatives from leading technology providers and BOP package firms engaged in detailed technical and commercial discussions, alongside consultants M.N. Dastur.
Push for Speed and Transparency
With a sharp focus on timelines, BSL emphasized fast-tracking tender processes and ensuring smooth execution. Interactive sessions allowed bidders to directly engage with project teams, clearing doubts and aligning expectations.
Capacity Boost on the Horizon
The expansion plan aims to raise BSL’s crude steel production capacity by 3 million tonnes, marking a significant leap in output and efficiency.
The meet is being seen as a crucial step in strengthening industry collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of projects—underscoring Steel Authority of India Limited’s long-term growth vision.
