SAIL also posted its best-ever January sales in January 2026 at 1.84 million tonnes, a growth of over 10 per cent compared to 1.68 million tonnes in January last year. The month also saw a reduction in inventory by 0.25 million tonnes and a significant fall in borrowings.
The company recorded all-time highs across several operational and financial parameters, including sales, dispatches, cash collections and direct customer deliveries. Record dispatches from plants, growth in door-to-door deliveries, higher warehouse sales and stronger logistics efficiency contributed to the performance.
SAIL said the results reflect the success of its customer-centric marketing initiatives and operational efficiency, further strengthening its role as a key partner in India’s growth story.
