Nemra: The native village of late veteran leader and former Chief Minister Shibu Soren, fondly known as Dishom Guru, witnessed a sea of people today as lakhs from across India arrived for his Shraddh Bhoj and Dashkarm Sanskar. The event drew senior politicians, government officials, social leaders, and villagers united in paying tribute to Soren’s towering legacy.

From morning, a steady stream of dignitaries reached Nemra. Governor Santosh Gangwar, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with MoS Sanjay Seth, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, and former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey were among those offering floral tributes. Rajnath Singh remembered Soren as “the guardian of tribals and other communities alike.”

Special arrangements, including 300 e-rickshaws, rest areas, and dedicated food services for security personnel, ensured smooth management of the huge crowd.

A short film showcased Soren’s decades of struggle and leadership in the tribal movement. The day served both as a solemn farewell and a celebration of the leader’s enduring influence across communities and the nation.
