Centre Reaffirms Welfare Cover for Accredited and Non-Accredited Journalists; ₹19.41 Crore Aid Extended Since 2014

The Centre has informed Parliament that both accredited and non-accredited journalists are covered under the Journalist Welfare Scheme. Since 2014-15, ₹19.41 crore has been provided to 456 media personnel and their families, while PIB-accredited journalists continue to receive CGHS healthcare benefits.
