Vedanta ESL Honours First Batch of Skilled Youth on World Youth Skills Day

Bokaro: Celebrating World Youth Skills Day with purpose and pride, Vedanta ESL Steel Ltd. felicitated the first batch of its Multi-Skill Training Program in a special ceremony held at its campus.

The event marked the successful completion of training in Home Appliances Repair by 30 local youth, as part of the company’s flagship community development initiative.

The training program, designed to equip young individuals with hands-on skills and industry-aligned assessments, culminated with a formal evaluation on July 10. The initiative aims to empower the local youth with practical, job-ready capabilities to enhance their employability and self-reliance.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Praveen Pitta and Head of CSR Kunal Daripa graced the event, joined by representatives from SEEDS and Vedanta’s CSR department. The dignitaries applauded the trainees’ hard work and stressed the transformative power of skill development in shaping a self-sustaining society.

Several students shared emotional stories of growth, learning, and gratitude, thanking Vedanta ESL for opening doors to new beginnings.

“This is not just a graduation—it’s a launchpad for a brighter future,” said Daripa adding, “At Vedanta ESL, we are committed to nurturing talent and creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods.”
