Jamshedpur: XLRI – Xavier School of Management, one of India’s top-ranked management institutions, has announced the launch of two new one-year hybrid programs: Public Policy & Sustainable Leadership (PPSL) and Public Human Resource Management (PHRM). Applications for both programs are now open, and they have been designed in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India.

These programs are specially crafted for working professionals from diverse backgrounds including civil services, corporates, NGOs, and development sectors. With a legacy of over 75 years in academic excellence, XLRI is aiming to bridge the gap between public policy, leadership, and governance through these advanced, flexible learning programs.

The hybrid format combines online weekend classes with two campus immersion sessions. This structure is ideal for professionals who want to upskill without taking a break from their jobs. The programs offer a total of 180 hours of instruction. PPSL includes six modules of 30 hours each, while PHRM comprises three modules of 60 hours each.

These courses are also open to Group ‘A’ officers of the Government of India, who can apply through the DoPT. The faculty team includes a mix of XLRI’s own expert professors and experienced professionals from the industry, ensuring practical and well-rounded exposure. The program concludes with a formal graduation ceremony.

Prof. MG Jomon, Program Director of PHRM, and Prof. Kalyan Bhaskar, Program Director of PPSL, stated that these programs reflect XLRI’s continued commitment to nurturing ethical leaders who can contribute meaningfully to governance and policy-making. They emphasized that the initiative will help strengthen leadership capabilities in public institutions and foster collaboration between governance and business thinking.

The programs will begin on July 28, 2025, and the last date to apply is June 30, 2025.
