Daler Mehndi, Mamta Sharma, Arun Pathak to perform at ‘Bhairav Mahotsav’

Bokaro: Several artists from Jharkhand and other parts of the country will perform here at ‘Bhairav Mahotsav’ at Chandankiyari on 27 and 28 September.

Famous Singer Daler Mehndi, Mamta Sharma, Indian playback singer popularly known for the song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ along with signer Arun Pathak, Ravi Tripathi, Rituraj Tiwari, Bipin Mishra, Samsher Khan will perform at Mahotsav, said Ravi Ranjan Mishra DDC Bokaro. Besides cultural programmes, Food Festival, Sports Festival, Art and Cultural Fair arealso scheduled to be organised during this eve, he said.

Over About 20,000 visitors across Jharkhand are expected to participate in it, said an official. Two days ‘Bhairav Mahotsav’ is scheduled to be kicked-off on 27 September at Bhairav Sthan in Bhojudih under Chandankiyari block, about 42 kms from the district headquarter of Bokaro aiming to enhance tourism in Jharkhand and to make the state a cultural hub, said DDC Bokaro.

Governor Jharkhand Drapradi Murmu will inaugurate this Mahotsav on Friday. This festival will prove a milestone for the state tourism industry, will be concluded on 28 September, said Mishra adding “the construction work of helipad has already been completed.” A team  of district administrative officials led by Mukesh Kumar DC Bokaro rushed at Bhairavnath Dhan and inspected the site. They also took the account of ongoing preparation works and also given essential and necessary directions for the event, to the site in-charge.

Addressing to the media persons DDC said, this Mahotsav (the fourth edition) would be organised by the state tourism department in joint association with the district administration, to give more exposure and to enhance Bhairav Sthan as a tourist spot.Vikash Mela is also scheduled to be organised during the Mahotsav, he said. The district and police administration have taken all necessary measures to make the Mahotsava successful, he said.
