ESL gets “9th Annual Greentech CSR India Awards 2022”

JNS: ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group Company and a key national steel player, won the most prestigious “9th Annual Greentech CSR India Awards 2022” for excellent accomplishments in the category of “Promotion of Healthcare”. Greentech Foundation, which hosted the award ceremony in Guwahati, Assam, is India’s leading organisation dedicated to the cause of creating, recognising, and rewarding best practises in the areas of Environmental Management, CSR, and HR amongst the ever-vibrant corporate world.

Ashish Ranjan, Head CSR, ER & PR, and Nidhi Chavada, Senior Officer, CSR Department of ESL accepted the award. The award is given to companies or organisations that have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to CSR. The Greentech Award acts as a catalyst for recognising the inherent value of CSR in business excellence and sustainability. The award is intended to recognise exemplary operations and systems as well as evidence of their impact on business vitality.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of S. Lakshmanan, IAS, Secretary of Industries, Commerce, Industry, and Public Enterprise, and Ravi Shankar Prasad, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Government of Assam. The Assam State Government, Dr. Arup Kumar Mishra, Chairman of the Assam Pollution Control Board, Kamleshwar Sharan, Chairman and CEO of the Greentech Foundation, and Kiran DM, CEO of the ONGC Foundation.
