Bokaro: Kumar Amit, State Working Committee Member of the BJP, met District Home Guard Commandant Kiran Kumari to discuss key issues affecting Home Guard Jawans in Bokaro. During the meeting, he strongly advocated for greater transparency in duty allocation and the regular deployment of women personnel.
Kumar Amit urged the administration to ensure that all women jawans in the district are assigned duties consistently and fairly. He further proposed that the government introduce a 50% duty reservation for women Home Guards, similar to their recruitment quota, to promote gender equality within the force.
He also recommended that the government establish a clear policy prioritizing the deployment of Home Guard personnel at government offices, educational institutions, public places, railway stations, and major private enterprises. Citing practices in Ranchi and Hazaribagh, the BJP leader called for the inclusion of Home Guards in traffic management operations in Bokaro.
Additionally, Kumar Amit stressed the need for annual recruitment of Home Guards in the district through a regular and transparent process to strengthen the force.
Commandant Kiran Kumari welcomed the suggestions and assured the delegation of positive action and departmental review. Several local leaders, including Lalbabu, Krishna Kumar, and Chandraprakash, were present during the meeting.
