Washington DC : US President Donald Trump has issued a direct warning to both Israel and Iran, urging them not to violate the newly established ceasefire that he claims is now officially in effect. In a bold social media post on his platform Truth Social, Trump declared:
“THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT! — Donald J. Trump, President of the United States.”
The ceasefire announcement follows days of escalating conflict, which peaked when Iran launched a retaliatory missile strike targeting US-operated airbases in Qatar and Iraq. The attack was in response to American airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan — carried out by B-2 bombers from Missouri.
In an earlier statement, Trump detailed the terms and timing of the ceasefire:
“Congratulations to everyone! Israel and Iran have fully agreed to a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE, commencing in approximately six hours after both sides complete their final missions. The ceasefire will last for 12 hours, and at the 24-hour mark, the 12-day war will be officially declared over.”
He explained that Iran would initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel after 12 hours, culminating in a “world salute” to the end of the conflict.
Iranian Response and Airbase Strike
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that the missile barrage — dubbed “Annunciation of Victory” — targeted the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Though no casualties were reported, the symbolic nature of the strike underlined Tehran’s defiance.
In a strongly worded statement, the IRGC said:
“The Zionist aggression is part of the broader American design. US military bases in the region are not a strength — they are a weakness and vulnerability.”
“Iran will never leave any attack on its sovereignty or national security unanswered,” it warned.
The Qatari government condemned the missile attack on its territory, which it described as a violation of regional stability.
US Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites
The ceasefire declaration comes after the US carried out a dramatic air campaign over the weekend, targeting Iran’s major nuclear facilities. The operation involved B-2 Spirit stealth bombers flying non-stop for nearly 37 hours from Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, to deliver precision strikes against Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan — facilities central to Iran’s uranium enrichment program.
The US joined the conflict a week after Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, aimed at crippling Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities. The involvement of American forces intensified the war, prompting fears of a wider regional conflagration.
