NDA and INDIA Bloc Lock Horns in Tight Race
New Delhi: The race to fill India’s vacant Vice President post is in full swing as voting began at 10:00 AM in Parliament today. The contest follows the surprising resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar in July and is being conducted via secret ballot, with elected representatives from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha participating.
Key Contenders Locked in Tight Duel
The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has thrown its weight behind Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, a veteran BJP leader. In opposition, the INDIA bloc has fielded Justice (Retd.) B. Sudershan Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge known for his judicial acumen. Political analysts expect a fierce and closely fought contest between these two high-profile candidates.

Vice President’s Crucial Constitutional Role
