Delhi-Jharkhand Joint Operation Yields Major Breakthrough; suspected ISIS terrorist Ashar Danish arrested
Ranchi: In a significant breakthrough, a suspected ISIS terrorist has been arrested from Tabarak Lodge, Islam Nagar, Ranchi, during a late-night joint operation by Delhi Police Special Cell and Jharkhand ATS. The arrested man has been identified as Ashar Danish, a resident of Petwar, Bokaro district, who had been hiding in lodge room number 4 for a prolonged period.
Authorities recovered a cache of chemicals, weapons, objectionable documents, and other incriminating materials from his possession. Ashar Danish is now in custody and is being interrogated intensively as the police team prepares to bring him to Delhi under remand.
This arrest follows a nationwide crackdown initiated after the capture of another ISIS suspect, Aftab from Mumbai, whose confessions led investigators to expand raids across multiple states. In total, over 12 locations were raided, resulting in the arrest of 8 suspected terrorists linked to the ISIS network.
Ranchi, known as a former stronghold for terror-related activities, has once again become the center of focus. Initial investigations suggest deep-rooted connections and the possibility of major revelations in the coming days as security agencies probe foreign links and wider networks.
The Delhi Special Cell emphasized the gravity of the situation, cautioning that the probe is still in its early stages and crucial discoveries are likely imminent.
