Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly welcomed Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam in the holy city of Varanasi today, as both leaders prepared for high-level bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening strategic ties and boosting development cooperation.

Ahead of the summit, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met PM Ramgoolam, during which both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding multifaceted collaboration anchored in historic people-to-people connections.
Mauritius Prime Minister Ramgoolam’s visit is part of a week-long state visit to India, running from September 9 to 16, 2025, aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations.
