Bokaro: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) across 10 examination centres in Bokaro district on February 7 and 8, with a total of 11,522 candidates scheduled to appear in three shifts.
Sharing details, CTET City Coordinator and DPS Bokaro Principal Dr A.S. Gangwar said all necessary arrangements have been made in coordination with the district administration to ensure the smooth and malpractice-free conduct of the examination.
On February 7, the exam will be held in the first shift only (9:30 am to 12 noon) for Paper-2, with 3,719 candidates appearing.
On February 8, exams will be conducted in both shifts. In the first shift (9:30 am to 12 noon), 5,040 candidates will appear for Paper-2, while in the second shift (2:30 pm to 5 pm), 2,763 candidates will take Paper-1.
Dr Gangwar said a coordinated strategy has been put in place with centre superintendents and supervisors to ensure strict adherence to CBSE guidelines. Security, surveillance, and verification mechanisms have been strengthened at all centres.
The major examination centres include DPS Bokaro (Sector-4), Chinmaya Vidyalaya (Sector-5), DAV Sector-4, GGPS-5, MGM Higher Secondary School (Sector-4), Crescent Public School (Sector-6), DAV-6, GGPS Chas, Holy Cross School (Railway Colony) and Shri Ayyappa Public School (Sector-5). Each centre will host between 480 and 540 candidates per shift.
Entry to centres will begin at 7:30 am for the first shift and 12:30 pm for the second shift. Candidates have been advised to reach their centres well in advance and follow all examination instructions.
CTET is a national-level eligibility examination conducted by CBSE for candidates seeking teaching positions. Paper-1 is for classes 1 to 5, while Paper-2 is for classes 6 to 8. Each paper carries 150 marks and includes sections on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and subject-specific areas.
The district administration and CBSE officials expressed confidence that the examination would be conducted peacefully and successfully across Bokaro.
