Bokaro: The Aadarsh Dampati (Ideal Couple) Sammelan and CHO (Community Health Officer) Samman Samaroh took place at the Sadar Hospital Auditorium on Monday. The event celebrated the contributions of deserving couples and Community Health Officers (CHOs) for their significant roles in promoting family planning and healthcare.
Organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Bokaro Vijaya Jadhav, the ceremony honored couples from all nine blocks who had completed sterilization procedures after having two children with a three-year gap.
Each block nominated three couples for the recognition, who were awarded certificates and prizes for their commitment to responsible family planning. Notable couples included Rekha Kumari, Sarita Devi, and Jugni Devi from Jaridih block; Suchi Smita and Sarita Devi from Chandankiyari block; Poonam, Chhoti Devi, and Pooja Devi from Bermo block; Mamta Devi from Petarwar block; Asha Devi and Gayatri Devi from Nawadih block; and Sunita Devi, Sarita Devi, and Sushma Devi from Kasmar block.
The event also honored exceptional CHOs for their outstanding service. These individuals were recognized with certificates and laptops to support their work. The CHOs acknowledged were Lakshmi Kumari from Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM) Champi, Soni Bank from AAM Chando, Anuradha from AAM Arjua, Anjlina from AAM Chilgadda, Anita from AAM Ghatiyali, Vidya Rani from AAM Adkhudi, Ajimun Nisha from AAM Angwanli, and Chandana Kumari from AAM Balrampur.
The event was attended by a many officials, including Civil Surgeon Dr. Abhay Bhushan Prasad, Deputy Superintendent Dr. Arvind Kumar, DPM Deepak Kumar, DPC Manoj Kumar Mahato, DAM Amit Kumar Sinha, DDM Kanchan Kumari, BTC representatives from all blocks, and Sahiya Didis, who contributed to the event’s success.
