JNS: Apple unveiled the 15-inch MacBook Air today, the world’s most fabulous 15-inch notebook. The new MacBook Air delivers power and portability — all in the world’s thinnest 15-inch laptop — with an enormous 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, the astonishing performance of M2, up to 18 hours of battery life and a silent, fanless design. The 15-inch MacBook Air features an all-new six-speaker sound system, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe charging, and the power and convenience of macOS Ventura for an unrivalled experience.
Customers can begin placing orders, with delivery beginning on Tuesday, June 13. The 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 now starts at $1,099, which is $100 cheaper than before, in order to provide even more value and choice to everyone, from upgraders to first-time Mac consumers.
“The new model comes equipped with an eight-core central processing unit (CPU) and a ten-core graphics processing unit (GPU), both of which are said to perform up to twelve times more quickly than the most powerful Intel-powered MacBook,” the company said in a statement.
During Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the tech giant also unveiled updated versions of its Mac Studio and Mac Pro desktop computers.
These computers are driven by M2, M2 Pro, M2 Max, and a cutting-edge new M2 Ultra chip, respectively.
Midnight, Silver, Space Grey, and Starlight are the colour possibilities for the new MacBook Air 15-inch, which has a starting price in India of Rs. 1,34,900 and can be purchased nationwide.
The Mac Studio (2023) may be purchased for a price of 2,09,900 Indian Rupees, whereas the Mac Pro can be purchased with either a tower or rack inclosure for a price of 7,29,900 and 7,79,900 Indian Rupees, respectively.
The display on the 15.3-inch version of the MacBook Air utilises Liquid Retina technology and can reach up to 500 nits of brightness. Apple claims that because it has a thickness of only 11.5 millimetres, it is the thinnest 15-inch laptop in the world.
In addition to a 3.5mm headphone connector, it has a MagSafe port for charging, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting devices, and support for an external display of up to 6K resolution.
The Apple MacBook Air 15-inch has a central processing unit (CPU) with 8 cores: four performance cores and four efficiency cores; a graphics processing unit (GPU) with 10 cores; and a neural engine with 16 cores.
In addition, the operating system is MacOS Ventura, and the notebook has six speakers.
